World Para Swimming has released its official World Rankings of Para Swimmers for 2024. We are happy to share the Proud Moment not only for Orange City but also for Maharashtra State & India that our visually impaired swimming member of Aqua Sports Club Kanchanmala Pande (Deshmukh) got the world ranking for different events in S-11 Women category as follows:
Ranking At World: 1st in 50 Mts. Backstroke, 3rd in 50 Mts. Breaststroke and 7th in 100 Mts. Breastroke. Whereas she is ranked one at the Asian Level in 50, 100 Mts. Breaststroke and 50 Mts. Freestyle. The ranking was released immediately after the World Para Swimming Series 2024 held at Lignano, Italy from 10th to 18th March 2024.
On the other hand at the same time she brought laurels to the city by winning 3 Gold at the National Para-Swimming Championship held at Gwalior, MP. The competition was organized by Paralympic Committee of India. Representing Maharashtra Kanchanmala won Gold in 100 mts. Freestyle, 100 mts. Backstroke & 100 mts. Breaststroke.

Kanchanmala extended her thanks to HAS officials and VIPL for providing such a wonderful swimming facilities and their kind support for the sports persons.
Working in RBI as a Class-I officer Kanchanmala is training hard under the able Guidance of Senior Coach Dr. Pravin Lamkhade (NSNIS, Patiala) and ASCA Level – 5 Coach Shri Vishal Chandurkar Sir.
