Used sanitary pads has presented a longstanding hazard to both human health and the environment, persisting without proper disposal for years. Aanchal Goyal, the additional commissioner of the Nagpur Municipal Corporation, emphasised the need to protect the environment by urging people not to dispose of used sanitary pads with regular waste. Wrap it in paper, mark it with a red dot and dispose them into the red bin, also increase the public awareness on this issue.
Group of Women in dressed in red assemble at Zero Miles Freedom Park for a public awareness rally on Sunday about sanitary pads organized by the Nagpur Municipal Corporation. Commissioner Dr. Abhijeet Choudhary and Aanchal Goyal led the event, with Goyal actively directing the attendees during the gathering.
Deputy commissioner Prakash Warade, Ranjana Lade, deputy commissioner of the solid waste management department Dr Gajendra Mahalle, medical health officer Dr Deepak Selokar, Dr Narendra Ba- hirwar, Dr Vijay Joshi, Aanchal Verma, Kiran Mundha, Green Vigil founder Kaustubh Chatterjee, San- geeta Ramteke, Sameer Tonpe of AG Enviro, Khem Ganveer of BVG, and others were among present.
Additionally, women representatives from various other organizations participated in the rally.
