Strengthening Healthcare for Maharashtra Police: SMHRC Joins MPKAY Healthcare Heroes Meet Law Enforcement: SMHRC Empaneled Under MPKAY
In a significant move to extend healthcare support to the police community, the 1020-bed Shalinitai Meghe Hospital & Research Centre (SMHRC), Wanadongri, Nagpur, has been officially empaneled under the Maharashtra Police Kutumb Arogya Yojna (MPKAY). This partnership enables police personnel and their families to access cashless healthcare services as per the applicable Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), ensuring timely, high-quality medical care.
The Maharashtra Police Kutumb Arogya Yojna is a state-wide health insurance scheme specifically designed for police personnel and their families, offering them financial security and peace of mind when seeking healthcare services.
A recent MoU was signed between SMHRC, Maharashtra Police, and Medi Assist, marking the start of this collaboration. This agreement underscores a shared commitment to improving access to comprehensive healthcare for the Maharashtra Police force and acknowledges the vital role police personnel play in maintaining law and order.
Commenting on this partnership, Dr. Sudhir Singh, AMS-SMHRC and Head of the SMHRC Cashless Division, stated that police personnel and their families enrolled in MPKAY will now benefit from cashless treatment at SMHRC, as specified in the MoU. Beneficiaries will have access to an extensive range of medical services at SMHRC, including specialized care.
SMHRC boasts state-of-the-art facilities and an experienced medical team across various specialties, ensuring that police personnel and their families receive advanced, compassionate care.
Dr. Anup Marar, Director of SMHRC, expressed gratitude to the Director General of Police, the MPKAY department, and Shri Sagar Meghe, Principal Advisor of DMIHER, for facilitating this collaboration.
