Nagpur: The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education will commence the HSC (Class XII) written examinations from Tuesday, February 11, with the exams concluding on March 18.
In the Nagpur division, a total of 1,58,537 students will appear for the examination across 504 centers. The exams will begin with the English paper at 11 AM.
Strict Measures to Curb Malpractices
To ensure a fair and transparent examination process, the board has introduced flying squads at every exam centerwith assistance from the Revenue Department. A total of 44 flying squads have been formed, including five in each district, covering primary and secondary education, DIET, scheme, and deputy education officers.
Additionally, the Revenue Department’s flying squad, led by the District Collector, will monitor each center to enforce a copy-free campaign. Despite limited manpower, officials from various departments have been deployed, and strict action will be taken against those caught engaging in malpractices.
Exam Arrangements in Place
The board has set up 84 custody centers across the Nagpur division to store and distribute question papers securely. Alongside government schools, rooms in aided and unaided institutions have been made available for the smooth conduct of exams.
Meanwhile, the practical sound, grade, oral, and internal assessment exams were successfully conducted between January 24 and February 10.
