Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is one of the largest Open University in the India and first ranking in the Distance Education Category of NIRF ranking, IGNOU is scheduled to celebrate its 38th Convocation on 05 March 2025 at IGNOU Headquarters, New Delhi. Union Minister for Education Hon.
Shri. Dharmendra Pradhan shall be a Chief Guest for the convocation ceremony. A total of 313770 graduates of the country from various faculties have qualified for this convocation.
Out of this total 1344 graduates of IGNOU Regional Center Nagpur are eligible 698 for Masters Degree, 299 for Degrees 230 for Diploma and 117 for Certificates but all the eligible students are required to register their option to appear for Convocation upto 25 march on IGNOU’s Convocation Portal.
‘IGNOU’ conducts the admission process every year in two sessions, i.e. January and July. At present the admission process for January 2025 session has been extended till February 28, 2025. IGNOU offers a total of 316 programs in various disciplines out of which this January 2025 session is proud to launch seven new programs in various disciplines, which will respond to the changing needs of the industry and enhance the career opportunities of the students.
The newly introduced programs are as follows:
Master of Arts in Environmental and Occupational Health (MAENOH)
Bachelor of Tourism and Travel Management (BFTTM).
Bachelor of Arts in Education (BAFEDU)
Post Graduate Diploma in Tribal Studies (PGDTRBS)
Post Graduate Diploma in Environmental and Occupational Health (PGDENOH)
Post Graduate Diploma in Waste Management (PGDWAM)
Fee exemption is applicable for SC and ST students family income in the financial year is less than Rs 2 lakh 50 thousands for B.A. (BAM), B.Com (BCOMF) and B.Sc. (BSCM) programs.
