The chopper service from Katra to Sanjhi Chhat, which was suspended, resumed on Friday for pilgrims visiting the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine in the Trikuta Hills, Katra, Reasi district, Jammu and Kashmir.
As per a media report, an official said, “As weather improved this morning, the chopper service to Sanjhi Chhat from Katra has resumed.”
The chopper service was suspended on Thursday due to dense fog in the Trikuta Hills caused by continuous rain.
The yatra is smoothly progressing towards Bhawan, he said, adding, “presently, around 16,000 to 20,000 pilgrims every day are visiting the Bhawan.”
“The rush to the Shrine is expected to increase from the middle of April after the ongoing board examinations in the schools across the country are over,” he added.
