In celebration of International Women’s Day, JD Sports Foundation is set to organize the Mahaswim Marathon, along with a swimming competition and a legal workshop focused on women’s rights and empowerment. The events align with the 2025 International Women’s Day theme, “Accelerating Action,” which promotes gender equality and women’s empowerment.
Key Events
- Legal Workshop: A session on “Rights, Equality, and Empowerment of Women and Girls” will be held on Thursday at 7 PM at the National Institute of Swimming.
- Mahaswim Marathon: On March 7, women swimmers will participate in a non-stop 8-hour swimming marathon.
- Swimming Competition: Scheduled for March 8, this event will feature Under-12, Under-14, and Open categories in all four swimming strokes.
Participation Details
Women swimmers from Nagpur, Bhandara, Gadchiroli, Gondia, Wardha, and Chandrapur can take part. The last date for registration is March 7.
