A community building initiative aimed at bringing together dialysis patients and their families
NephroPlus, India’s Largest Dialysis Network, organized an empowering event, ‘Aashayein’ in Nagpur, aimed at uplifting and supporting dialysis patients. This exclusive event provided a distinctive opportunity for patients to interact, share their experiences, and find support for each other, while they managed their dialysis journeys. With a turnout of over 200 guests, the event was an enriching experience, bringing together patients, their families, and the NephroPlus team.
The event took place at Kusumati Wankhede Hall, Nagpur, from 9:00am to 2:00pm. ‘Aashayein’ featured a range of activities designed to educate, entertain, and inspire. The event commenced with an entertaining traditional performance, followed by interactive activities such as Tambola and digital games designed to enhance learning and foster positivity. One of the main highlights of the event was the webinar featuring prominent medical experts, including esteemed Nephrologists, Cardiologists, and experienced healthcare professionals, who shared important knowledge on maintaining kidney health and understanding the dialysis process.

Dr. Utkarsh Deshmukh, an esteemed medical expert, graced the event as the Guest of Honour. Reflecting on the event, Dr. Deshmukh stated, “This is a program created for the kidney warriors. It symbolizes a celebration of hope and resilience, bringing together dialysis patients, their caregivers, and the community through the synergy of art, education, and support. It serves as a reminder that, despite the difficulties encountered during the dialysis process, creativity, knowledge and shared experiences can foster strength and illuminate the path ahead.”
