Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has announced a five-month extension for the Mukhyamantri Yuva Karya Prashikshan Yojana (CM’s Youth Work Training Scheme) in the Legislative Assembly. The scheme, which provides job training opportunities to youth, was initially designed for six months but will now run for 11 monthsfollowing demands from legislators.
While making the announcement, Fadnavis clarified that no further extensions would be granted, emphasizing that the scheme is meant for training purposes only and not for permanent employment. The decision aims to ensure that more youth get access to training, increasing their chances of employment, especially with the benefit of a government certification.
A press release from the office of Mangalprabhat Lodha, Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to youth empowerment, stating that the extension will help more young individuals enhance their skills and career prospects.
