Bombay HC to Hear Case on April 2
The Disha Salian death case has seen a new development as Disha Salian’s father, Satish Salian, has filed an FIR. Advocate Nilesh Ojha, representing the family, confirmed that a written complaint submitted at the Commissioner of Police’s office has now been officially registered as an FIR.
The FIR lists several prominent individuals as accused in the case, including Aaditya Thackeray, Dino Morea, Suraj Pancholi, his bodyguard, former Mumbai Police Commissioner Parambir Singh, Sachin Vaze, and actress Rhea Chakraborty.
According to Ojha, Parambir Singh is alleged to be the key figure behind the cover-up of the case. “Parambir Singh was the main mastermind behind the cover-up. He conducted a press conference and fabricated lies to protect Aaditya Thackeray,” Ojha stated.
The FIR also includes serious allegations, with Advocate Nilesh Ojha stating that investigation papers from the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) have revealed Aaditya Thackeray’s involvement in the drug trade. “These details have been mentioned in the FIR, further strengthening the case,” Ojha said. Earlier, Disha Salian’s father, Satish Salian, had approached the Bombay High Court, seeking a probe into his daughter’s death and requesting the registration of an FIR against Aaditya Thackeray and others.
Disha Salian, a talent manager, was found dead on June 8, 2020, just days before actor Sushant Singh Rajput was discovered hanging in his Bandra flat on June 14, 2020. Her father has now demanded a fresh investigation into her death and urged authorities to interrogate UBT-Shiv Sena leader Aaditya Thackeray.
Meanwhile, on Saturday, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) filed a closure report in a Mumbai court, nearly five years after Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. His postmortem, conducted at Mumbai’s Cooper Hospital, cited asphyxia as the cause of death. The Bombay High Court has scheduled a hearing for Disha Salian’s case on April 2.
