Centre Point School, Amravati Road Bypass, hosted the grand inaugural ceremony of CENSPORTS 2025, its annual inter-school sports meet, on 31st July 2025. The event launched with the inspiring theme “FRIENDSPORTS 2025”, celebrating both sportsmanship and friendship. With over 1,934 entries from 95 schools across Nagpur, Wardha, Bhandara, Amravati, and Gadchiroli, the meet promises four action-packed days of competition, camaraderie, and memories.

The ceremony began with a warm welcome address, setting the tone for a celebration that merges healthy competition with lasting bonds.

Chief Guest Dr. Anil Karwande, a respected educationist and sports promoter, graced the occasion. He is also the recipient of several prestigious awards, including the Bharat Vidya Ratan Award. Dr. Karwande was felicitated by Principal Mrs. Perveen Cassad and Head of Sports Department Mr. Chetak Khedikar.
In his keynote address, Dr. Karwande emphasized the true essence of sports, stating that it instills discipline, perseverance, humility, and teamwork. He encouraged students to treat both victory and defeat as valuable life lessons.

Event Highlights included:
- A soulful performance of the CENSPORTS anthem “Chalo Khelein Hum CENSPORTS Khelein”
- A sports oath led by student champions Anirudh Mundhada and Rajiv Vaswani
- A lively band performance by The Beat Brigade
- A symbolic balloon release, marking the official start of the games
This year, participants will compete for 396 medals, 14 category trophies, and the coveted Overall Championship Trophy. The ceremony concluded with the National Anthem, energizing participants for the days ahead.
