The inaugural run of the Ajni (Nagpur)–Pune Vande Bharat Express turned into a moment of celebration for passengers on board, as the high-speed train began its journey this morning. Many travellers hailed it as a historic step in modernising Maharashtra’s rail connectivity, promising faster and more comfortable travel between the two cities.

The state-of-the-art semi-high-speed train, equipped with modern amenities, drew enthusiastic responses from passengers who were eager to experience the journey. Several travellers were seen taking photographs, shooting videos, and sharing their excitement with fellow passengers.

“This is truly a proud moment for Nagpur. Travelling to Pune will now be faster and more comfortable than ever before,” said Ramesh Kulkarni, a businessman travelling on the first trip.
Another passenger, college student Priya Deshmukh, said, “It feels like we are entering a new era of rail travel. The interiors are beautiful, and the ride is so smooth.”

For many, the launch also signified economic and social benefits. “This service will boost business ties between the two cities and encourage more tourism,” remarked travel enthusiast Sunil Jadhav.
The Ajni–Pune Vande Bharat Express is expected to cut travel time significantly while offering passengers a premium travel experience, marking a major milestone in Indian Railways’ push for modern, high-speed connectivity.
