A national seminar on the Health Sector on the theme ‘Social Work: Balance between Care and Emotional Support’ is being organised in Nagpur on August 21, by the RTM Nagpur University, in association with Athawale College of Social Work, Bhandara; National Association of Professional Social Workers in India and Maharashtra Association of Social Work Educators. The seminar is a part of the National Social Work Week, which is being observed from August 15 to 21.
The seminar will be held at the University’s Convocation Hall. It will be inaugurated by the officiating Vice-Chancellor of the University Dr Madhavi Khode-Chaware at 11 am on August 21. Prof Anoop K Bharatiya of NAPSWI, Prof Chancellor of Data Meghe Medical College, Wardha, will be the guest of honour.
Dr Kedar Rotele will deliver the keynote address. Renowned social worker Dr Satish Gogulwar is the convenor of the seminar.
The inaugural function will be followed by the technical sessions. Joby George from New Zealand, Premanand Rangari from the USA, and Abraham Francis from Australia, besides the experts in India, will deliver lectures during the technical sessions.
