Chaos erupted at the Examination Department of Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University after BBA and B.Com students led by Nagpur City Congress Minority Department President Wasim Khan, staged a protest against serious irregularities in their results.
Students claimed that despite appearing for their exams, their results displayed them as “absent.” In several cases, BBA results were published under the B.Com list on the university’s website, while the subject “Introduction of Commerce” showed as “absent,” ultimately marking students as failed. Additionally, BBA students reported that their mark sheets incorrectly mentioned “B.Com” instead of their actual course.
Wasim Khan strongly condemned the university’s Examination Department, holding it responsible for what he described as “failure and negligence.” He said, “The students have given their exams, yet the results show them as absent or failed. Such errors are a direct reflection of the inefficiency of the Examination Department. They are solely responsible for this mess.”
Khan met Examination Department Head Manish Jhodpe and handed over a memorandum demanding immediate corrective measures. He has given the university four days to resolve the issue. In response, Jhodpe assured that the matter would be taken seriously and resolved at the earliest.
