The Nagpur city police are on high alert for the traditional Peeli Marbat procession scheduled to take place on Saturday. Police Commissioner Dr. Ravindra Kumar Singhal on Thursday inspected the route of the procession and reviewed the security arrangements.
During the inspection, he issued necessary instructions to the concerned officials and directed them to ensure foolproof security. The Commissioner emphasized that adequate police deployment will be made along the entire route to ensure the procession is carried out peacefully and in an orderly manner.
The police department has made detailed preparations for crowd management, traffic regulation, and handling any emergency situation. Authorities have also appealed to citizens to cooperate in maintaining the sanctity of this age-old tradition and not to pay heed to rumors.
