I’m A world class convention centre with all modern facilities will be developed in Nagpur, said Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Friday.
Fadnavis was speaking during a meeting with a delegation from Fira de Barcelona International Convention Centre, Spain. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed with the agency in Mumbai. Spanish Ambassador to India Juan Antonio March Pujol, Fira de Barcelona CEO Recard Zapatero, Chief Secretary of Transport Department Sanjay Sethi, Chairman of Pioneer Exhibition and Convention Centre Mukesh Arora and Vice-Chairman Jeet Arora, Nagpur District Collector Dr Vipin Itankar were present.
After the meeting, Fadnavis informed the media that the Convention Centre should be used not only for conventions and exhibitions, but also for cultural events. The design should match the requirements, so that people will know the history of Nagpur through the centre.
Spanish Ambassador said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has good relations with his Spanish counterpart Pedro Sanchez, and the relations are being strengthened. India is bringing positive changes in the life of people using Artificial Intelligence. Mumbai is becoming a power house not only for India, but for entire South Asia. Spain would like to work with Maharashtra.
