After several days of harsh winter conditions across Maharashtra, weather patterns are beginning to shift. Cities such as Pune, Nashik, Nagpur, Akola, and Yavatmal have recently recorded sharp temperature drops due to cold winds sweeping in from northern India.
However, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has now indicated that the intensity of the cold is likely to ease slightly from Thursday in some parts of the state. Cloudy skies have already been observed during the early morning and evening hours. With changing atmospheric conditions, the IMD has also issued a rain alert for select districts.
