The CME on Genetics held at Nelson Hospital was an experience which was much more than a world-class academic event under the mentorship of Dr. Satish Deopujari, Senior Paediatrician in Nelson Hospital. International faculty Dr. Abhijit Dixit, Consultant Clinical Geneticist from Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, United Kingdom, with his tremendous academic depth and clarity of thought, gave us an exceptional overview of how genetics is set to reshape the future of medicine. He talked on “Genomic Disorders of the Kidney – lessons from a Renal Genetics” His perspective was both enlightening and inspiring, which was an great knowledge transfer to the audience. This session was continued by Dr. Mayuri Yeole, Consultant Geneticist from Nelson Hospital, Nagpur on the topic of “Neurodevelopmental Disorders: The Genetic Landscape and Diagnostic Approach”. Both of the speakers gave a good knowledge transfer on Genetics. Dr. Mohan Dixit, Senior Paediatrician from Solapur was also present in this CME.
