The Global Alumni Meet ‘Udaan 2025–26’, organized by LITAA, the alumni association of Laxminarayan Institute of Innovative Technology (LIT) University, commenced on Saturday with the offering of a floral wreath to the statue of Late Rao Bahadur D. Laxminarayan at the main building of LIT University in the morning.
The central theme of this year’s Global Alumni Meet is “Connecting Dreams, Igniting Success.” Alumni and current students who have enhanced the reputation of LIT in various fields across India and abroad are participating in the meet.
Various technical and interactive sessions held throughout the day witnessed an exchange of ideas and experiences. In the evening session, a colorful cultural programme by present and former students was organized at Persistent Systems, IT Park. The programme began with a Ganesh Vandana, “Sur Niragas Ho,” presented through Kathak dance by Ahisha Kakade. Solo performances by Ananya Chakravarti and Snehal Tumbade were also presented.
Songs such as Lag Ja Gale, Mere Mehboob Qayamat, Kaisi Paheli Zindagani, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Saathiya Tune Kya Kiya, and Madhuban Mein Radhika were beautifully rendered by alumni and current students, adding great vibrancy to the programme. The event was compered by Shubhangi Raylu.
Present on the occasion were Alumni Association President Madhav Labhe, Secretary Utkarsh Khopkar, University Chief Advisor Mohan Pande, LITAA Patron and Vice-Chancellor of LIT University Dr. Atul Vaidya, Udaan 24–25 Organizing Head Rakesh Gupta, along with a large number of former and current students, faculty members, and staff.

‘Jewel of LIT’ Awards to be presented today
The ‘Jewel of LIT’ and ‘Youth Icon’ award ceremony will be held on December 21 at 6.30 p.m. at Persistent Hall, IT Park. Chief Minister and Patron of LIT University Devendra Fadnavis will be specially present on the occasion. Chairman of Solar Group of Industries Satyanarayan Nuwal, and Chairman of the Board of Governance of LIT University Padmashri Dr. Ganapati Yadav will also be present as chief guests.
