Shubman Gill has been named captain, with Shreyas Iyer returning as vice-captain, as India announced their squad for the upcoming three-match ODI series against New Zealand, dropping Ruturaj Gaikwad.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) clarified that Iyer’s inclusion will depend on fitness clearance from the Centre of Excellence (CoE).
