Kalamna Police have arrested five persons for the murder of a 22-year-old youth who was brutally assaulted following a dispute over money in the Parvati Nagar area on Saturday night. The incident occurred around 9.30 pm on January 3, 2026, and culminated in the death of Rithik Sawanlal Patle during treatment.
As per police records, the complainant, Tansu Shivprasad Nagpure (23), a resident of Ajni–Majri, Parvati Nagar, had gone out on a motorcycle with his friends Mustafa alias Golu Isha Ansari (28) and Rithik Patle to consume liquor. While returning, an argument broke out between Rithik and Mustafa over a financial issue, which soon escalated into a heated exchange.
Following the altercation, Mustafa allegedly dropped Tansu and Rithik on the roadside and left. He later informed his family members about the dispute. Subsequently, one of his relatives allegedly contacted the complainant over the phone, abused him and issued threats.
Later, the accused—identified as Isha Hatim Ansari (55), Mustafa alias Golu Isha Ansari (28), Lukman Isha Ansari (22), Sahil Isha Ansari (20), Salauddin Isha Ansari (19), along with a juvenile in conflict with law—allegedly assembled near Parvati Nagar Chowk, close to Aniket Kirana Store. Acting with common intention, they allegedly attacked the complainant, Rithik Patle and Salimbhai Ansari using fists, a knife and iron rods, with the intent to kill.
When the complainant’s parents, Shivprasad Nagpure and his wife Sangita Nagpure, rushed to intervene, they too were allegedly assaulted by the accused.
All injured persons were immediately shifted to Mayo Hospital. However, Rithik Patle, who had sustained severe injuries, was declared dead by doctors during treatment. The remaining injured victims are currently undergoing treatment, and their condition is reported to be stable.
Based on the complaint, Kalamna Police registered a case under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, including Sections 103(1), 118(1), 115(2), 296, 351(3), 189(2), 191(2), 191(3) and 190. Police Sub-Inspector Garje led the investigation and promptly arrested all five adult accused. Further probe into the case is in progress.
