Nagpur: A 32-year-old labourer lost his life after falling from the fifth floor of an under-construction residential building at Kalavati Vihar Apartment in the Hudkeshwar area on Wednesday evening.
The fatal accident occurred around 5.45 pm on January 7, 2026, at Plot No. 59 in Annapurna Nagar, Pipla. The deceased was identified as Mahendra Radhelal Yadav (32), a native of Ugli village in Kevalari tehsil of Madhya Pradesh, who was presently residing in Chakrapani Nagar, Nagpur.
According to police, Yadav was engaged in construction work and was removing bricks from a lift on the fifth floor when he suddenly lost his balance and plunged down, suffering critical injuries. He was immediately rushed to Medical Hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Following information provided by complainant Mithilesh Dindayal Patle (37), Hudkeshwar police registered an accidental death report in the case. PSI Pankajkumar Chakre has recorded the accidental death, and further investigation is underway.
