The State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell, Maharashtra, has announced the registration schedule for the MHT CET 2026 entrance examination. According to the official notification, the application process begins today, January 10, and will continue until February 12, 2026.
Eligible candidates can submit their applications through the official website, cetcell.mahacet.org, and are advised to complete the process early to avoid last-minute technical issues.
As per the latest guidelines, candidates registering for MHT CET 2026 must mandatorily provide both their Aadhaar number and APAAR ID. This new requirement has been introduced to strengthen identity verification and streamline the admission process.
Applicants are advised to ensure that all Aadhaar-linked details—such as name, date of birth (as per the Class 10 certificate), father’s name, address, recent photograph, and an active Aadhaar-linked mobile number—are accurate and updated.
Additionally, candidates must generate an APAAR ID specifically for MHT CET 2026 registration.

Revised MHT CET 2026 Examination Fee
The Maharashtra Admission Regulating Authority (ARA) has revised the MHT CET examination fee.
Candidates from the general category will now have to pay Rs 1,300, while those belonging to reserved categories will be charged Rs 1,000.
Reports suggest that the state government plans to increase entrance examination fees by approximately 10 per cent annually.
Tentative Exam Schedule Released
The CET Cell has also released the tentative exam schedule for MHT CET 2026.
The entrance examination for both PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) and PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) groups will be conducted in two attempts. The first attempt is scheduled between April 11 and April 26, 2026, while the second attempt will take place from May 10 to May 17, 2026.
Similar to the CBSE board exams and JEE Main, this two-attempt format allows candidates an additional chance to improve their scores.
In addition to MHT CET, the registration process for MAH MBA/MMS CET 2026 has also opened today.
The first attempt for this examination will be conducted from April 6 to April 8, 2026, followed by the second attempt on May 9, 2026. Candidates are advised to regularly visit the official CET Cell website for the latest updates and announcements.
