26th National Chess Championship of the Deaf shall be held at G.H.Raisoni Institute of Information and Technology, Shraddha Park, Wadi Hingna Link, Napgur from 16th February 2026 to 20th February 2026.
The event is being organised by Maharashtra Sports Council of the Deaf, Pune recognised by National Sports Federation of Deaf and All India Sports Council of Deaf, New Delhi as per National Calender 2026-2027 prepared by Asia Pacific/World Chess Championship of the Deaf.
The event will comprise of 23 Chess players each from around 19 states which includes Men, Women, Jr Boys , Jr.Girls ,Sub.Jr.Boys and Sub.Jr.Girls thus making total participation of around 300 players in the event. The Matches will be played during four days.
The Deaf participants participating in the event have been provided with officials, secretarial and technical management staff numbering about 30 with complimentary boarding and lodging. Mr.Rajesh Nair President of India Deaf Club Nagpur., Darshan Kshirsagar Asst.Chess Director and Varad Kulkarni working as Interpreter and Mr.Gopal Birare as Hon.Secretary of Maharashtra Sports Council of the Deaf, Nashik are making the necessary arrangement.
Shri Girish Vyas, President, Chess Association Nagpur and Shri Bhushan Shriwas Secretary, Chess Association, Nagpur have extended their Best Wishes for the event.
The event shall be held under the patronage of G.H.Raisoni Sports and Welfare Foundation under the guidance from Shri Sunil Raisoni, Chairman, Raisoni Group, Dr. Vivek Kapoor, Vice Chanceller, G.H.Raisoni Skill Tech University, Dr. Mrinal Naik, Director(G.H.Raisoni Sports and Cultural Foundation) and Shri Amit Gandhare, Director (Public Relations) Raisoni Group who have extended Best Wishes for the event.
