Special initiative on the occasion of World Earth Day
On the occasion of World Earth Day, a symposium on the theme ‘Plastic-Free Kitchen’ has been organized on Wednesday, April 22, with the aim of promoting an eco-friendly lifestyle. The event is jointly organized by the Rotary Club of Nagpur Elite and Shri Santaji Shikshan Vikas Sanstha, Nagpur.The initiative is supported by the Food and Drug Administration, Indian Medical Association (IMA), Nagpur Garden Club, and Lokmata Sumatitai Smruti Pratishthan.The program will be held at Shri Santaji Shikshan Mahavidyalaya, Sneh Nagar, Wardha Road, at 11:00 AM. Renowned master chefs Ajinkya and Vikram Gandhe will grace the occasion as chief guests.Dignitaries present on the occasion will include Jyotsna Pandit (President, Rotary Club of Nagpur Elite), Dr. Priya Wanjari (Principal, Shri Santaji Mahavidyalaya), Vishakha Pawar (Joint Secretary), Dr. Rajesh Sawarbande (Former President, IMA), Praveen Gadewar (Treasurer, Lokmata Sumatitai Smruti Pratishthan), Dr. Rohan Shah (Assistant Commissioner, FDA), Samit Adamane (Secretary, Nagpur Garden Club), Arvind Patil (Coordinator), and Pramod Misal (Club Secretary).The main objectives of the initiative are to create awareness about cancer prevention, reduce the harmful impact of increasing plastic use on Earth, promote the use of sustainable alternatives, and encourage a healthy lifestyle. Organizers have appealed to citizens to participate in large numbers.
