The Social Security Branch (SSB) of the Crime Branch busted an alleged sex racket during a late-night raid at Madhav Nagari on Besa-Pipla Road under the jurisdiction of Hudkeshwar Police Station. A 29-year-old woman was arrested, while another woman was rescued from the premises.
The accused has been identified as Padmini Gulshan Basu (29). The rescued woman, who is married and hails from Amravati, was allegedly being forced into commercial sex work, police said.
