A conductor of an Aapli Bus electric bus sustained serious injuries after an unidentified tipper truck allegedly rammed into the vehicle at Panchsheel Square in Nagpur on Sunday morning before fleeing from the spot.
According to information received, the accident took place around 7 am when bus number MH40DC2602 operating on route number 286E/01 was travelling from Khapari Depot towards Aapli Bus Terminal. The bus was being driven by Tanveer Ahmad, while Sapna Motghare was on duty as conductor.Officials said the unidentified tipper truck hit the right front portion of the bus, causing severe damage to the front side body and front windshield of the vehicle.
After the collision, the truck driver allegedly fled from the scene.The conductor sustained serious injuries and was admitted to hospital for treatment, while the driver also suffered injuries. Around four passengers were present inside the bus at the time of the incident, however, no passenger was injured. Police complaint has been lodged and further investigation is underway to identify the tipper truck involved in the accident.
