Union Labour Minister Mansukh Mandaviya on Tuesday said subscribers of the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation will soon be able to withdraw their provident fund directly into their bank accounts through the UPI payment gateway.
Speaking to reporters, Mandaviya said the EPFO has completed testing of the new facility as part of its efforts to improve service delivery and simplify processes for members.
“We have completed the testing of the facility where members can withdraw EPF through the use of the UPI payment gateway. The withdrawn amount will be directly transferred into the bank account of the member,” he said.
According to the minister, the EPFO is undertaking several initiatives aimed at improving efficiency and making services more accessible and user-friendly for subscribers.
The proposed system is expected to make the withdrawal process quicker and more convenient by enabling direct digital transfers through UPI-linked bank accounts.
