Vidarbha Cricket Association (VCA) will be hosting Syed ushtaq Ali Trophy (Elite) knockout matches along with knock-out matches of Women’s U-19 T20 Trophy (Elite) and the entire Vizzy rophy (T20) in the 2026-27 domestic season, BCCI announced on Wednesday.The SMAT will be held between November 14 to December 6. The four venues for the league stages are Mumbai, Mohali, Vizag and Kolkata.
The entire knock-out stage will be held in Nagpur from November 30 to ecember 6, 2026. There will be four groups of eight teams each. Every team will play 7 matches in the league stage. For the knock-outs to be hosted in the city, top two teams from each group will qualify for the Super League. The eight teams will be divided into two groups A and B.
There will be three Super League matches per team. There will be no semi-finals and group toppers will irectly play the final for the trophy. The timing of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy will allow the talent scouts to prepare their lists before the Indian Premier League (IPL) auction which will be held sometime in December.Nagpur will play host to Women’s U-19 T20 Trophy (Elite) knock-outs.
The league phase that runs from October 9 to October 16 will be played at Hyderabad, Trivandram, Mohali, Bangalore and Mumbai. KOs will begin on October 20 with final slated for 26th. Top two teams from all five groups will qualify for the knock-outs. Group toppers from all five groups will directly qualify for the quarter-finals,
