The city-level Kho-Kho tournament under Khasdar Krida Mahotsav 2026 will be held from June 3 to June 6 at Mahila Mahavidyalaya. The tournament will feature competitions in senior men’s and women’s categories along with boys’ and girls’ under-16 events.
All matches will be conducted in the evening under floodlights on mat courts in a six-a-side super league format. Organisers have arranged two playing courts for the event, while qualified technical officials from Nagpur will oversee the tournament proceedings.
Teams representing Maharashtra Krida Mandal, Nav Maharashtra Krida Mandal, Vidarbha Krida Mandal, Chhatrapati Yuvak Krida Prasarak Mandal, Vidyarthi Yuvak Krida Mandal, Yuvak Mandal, city police teams, and several schools and colleges from Nagpur are expected to participate.
In the senior men’s and women’s categories, the winning team will receive Rs 35,000 along with a trophy and medals, while the runners-up will be awarded Rs 30,000 and the third-placed teams Rs 25,000 with trophies and medals. Individual awards for Best Defender and Best Attacker will carry prize money of Rs 3,500 each, while the best male and female players will receive Rs 4,000 each.
For the under-16 boys’ and girls’ categories, the winners will receive Rs 25,000 along with trophies and medals. The runners-up will be awarded rs 20,000, while the third-placed teams will receive Rs 15,000. Awards for Best Defender and Best Attacker in both categories will carry Rs 2,000 each, while the Best Player award will include Rs 2,500.
Competition observer Rajesh Tumsare, chief referee Rajeshwar Movade, and technical committee head Dr. Sanjay Chaudhary are supervising the tournament arrangements. Ground management responsibilities have been assigned to Prof. Parag Bansole, Pankaj Karpe, and Vaibhav Kumre.
Amateur Kho-Kho Association president Anup Kharade, secretary Chandrakant Asole, and other office-bearers are also actively involved in organising the event. The details were shared by Dr. Padmakar Charmode, co-coordinator of Khasdar Krida Mahotsav and tournament head.
