The Prime Minister’s Internship Scheme is an important initiative of the Central Government. The main objective of this scheme is to provide internship opportunities to youth in reputed companies across India. Trainees will gain hands-on experience while working in large companies, which will help develop their skills and enhance future employment opportunities.
The scheme is implemented by the Government of India. It was launched in the pilot (initial) phase in 2024. Subsequently, the second phase was implemented in 2025, and currently, the third phase is being implemented in 2026 in Nagpur district. Vacancies have been notified by various entrepreneurs and companies.
The details of the companies, positions, number of posts, qualifications, and last dates are as follows:
- Indian Oil Corporation Limited – Sales and Marketing – 8 posts – 10th pass – Last date: 10 June
- Jubilant FoodWorks Limited – Operations Management – 48 posts – 10th pass – Last date: 10 June
- Tech Mahindra Limited – Information/Cyber Security – 4 posts – Graduate – Last date: 7 June
- Emami Limited – Sales and Marketing – 10 posts – Last date: 9 June
- Indus Bank Limited / Mineral Exploration and Consultancy Limited – Human Resources – 5 posts – Graduate – Last date: 16 June
The duration of the internship under the scheme ranges from 6 to 9 months, while in the pilot phase it may extend up to 12 months. Trainees will receive a monthly stipend of ₹9,000, along with an additional ₹6,000 provided in two installments.
