As part of monsoon preparedness efforts, a joint mock drill will be conducted at Futala Lake on June 12 to strengthen coordination among emergency response agencies.
The exercise has been organised by the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Nagpur, with the objective of assessing preparedness levels and enhancing inter-agency response mechanisms during emergencies that may arise in the monsoon season.
The drill will involve participation from the Police Department, Fire and Emergency Services, National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), Health Department, Home Guards and Apda Mitra volunteers.
Officials said the exercise is aimed at improving coordination, communication and operational readiness among all agencies involved in disaster management, rescue and relief operations.
