Railway passengers travelling between Pune and Nagpur are likely to face inconvenience later this month as the Central Railway has announced temporary changes to train operations due to major engineering and signalling works in the Pune Division.
The railway administration will undertake the replacement of the existing Double Distant Signal (DDS) point near Pune Yard and carry out modernization of signalling and point systems under a special traffic and power block. The work is aimed at upgrading railway infrastructure and improving the safety and efficiency of train operations.
As a result, several trains will be cancelled or partially cancelled during the block period.

Train No. 12136 Nagpur–Pune Express (Journey on June 13) – Cancelled.
Train No. 12135 Pune–Nagpur Express (Journey on June 14) – Cancelled.
Partially Cancelled Trains
Train No. 11078 Jammutawi–Pune Express (June 12) – Will terminate at Hadapsar; service between Hadapsar and Pune cancelled.

Rescheduled Train
Train No. 12137 Pune–Rani Kamalapati Express (June 14) – Will depart from Pune at 7:55 PM instead of its scheduled 3:15 PM departure.
Railway officials stated that the block is essential for the modernization of railway infrastructure and for ensuring safer train operations in the future. The administration has appealed to passengers to cooperate and check the latest train status before commencing their journey.
The disruption comes during a period of heavy passenger traffic due to the holiday season, and authorities have cautioned that some other train services may also experience operational impacts.
