Abhijeet Dipke, founder of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), is planning to visit Nagpur on June 16 to hold a protest against alleged irregularities in national examinations and flaws in the country’s education system. The development has put the city’s police administration on alert.
CJP had earlier held a protest in Delhi demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over exam-related irregularities, followed by a gathering in Pune. Dipke is now planning to bring the agitation to Nagpur to intensify the movement further.
However, the Nagpur police administration is yet to grant permission for the demonstration, leaving the event’s fate uncertain. Whether authorities approve the protest or deny it on law and order grounds will be decisive.
Sources said all necessary legal formalities for obtaining permission are being completed. Once official clearance is received, the final venue and schedule will be announced formally.
CJP was founded on May 16, 2026, in response to remarks by Chief Justice of India Surya Kant, who had compared unemployed youth to “cockroaches.” The party is not registered with the Election Commission of India.
