Three persons sustained serious injuries in a major road accident involving two trucks on the Bhandara–Ramtek Highway under the jurisdiction of Aroli Police Station on Wednesday.
According to preliminary information, the accident occurred when two trucks collided head-on on the highway. The impact of the collision was so severe that the front portions of both vehicles were extensively damaged, leaving the occupants trapped inside.
Local residents and emergency responders rushed to the spot and launched a rescue operation. The injured were pulled out from the mangled vehicles and immediately shifted to a nearby hospital before being referred to Nagpur’s Mayo Hospital for advanced medical treatment.
Traffic on the highway was affected for some time following the accident. Police personnel from Aroli Police Station reached the scene, regulated traffic and initiated an investigation into the cause of the crash.
