Swarkamal Music Academy Celebrates Its 8th Anniversary
To mark the eighth anniversary of Swarkamal Music Academy, a special musical programme titled ‘Pyar Ka Raag Suno Re’ (Melodies of S.D. and R.D. Burman) has been organized under Navonmesh–2026 on Friday, June 19, at 6:00 p.m. at Sai Sabhagruha, Nagpur.
The programme has been conceptualized by Dr. Manjiri Vaidya-Iyer, while Shweta Shelgaonkar will be the compere for the evening. The chief guests for the event will be Dr. Chitra Modak, former Head of the Music Department at LAD College and a renowned music guru; Dr. Sheela Kulkarni, former Head of the Department of Cosmetic Technology; and Adv. Bhanudas Kulkarni, founder of Swarvedh.
Students of the academy will present a melodious tribute featuring evergreen songs composed by legendary Hindi film music directors Sachin Dev Burman (S.D. Burman) and Rahul Dev Burman (R.D. Burman).
The organizers have appealed to music lovers and connoisseurs to attend and enjoy this free musical programme.
