An Instagram post allegedly shared by Siya Goyal following the death of her fiancé, Ketan Agarwal, has resurfaced online and sparked intense reactions after her arrest in connection with the case.
According to investigators, Siya has been arrested along with her alleged lover, Chetan Chaudhary, on charges related to Ketan’s death at Lohagad Fort near Pune. Following the arrests, social media users have begun scrutinising a post that Siya reportedly shared on June 19—her birthday and a day after Ketan’s death.
In the emotional message, she expressed grief over Ketan’s demise, writing that he had left her just when they were close to getting married and questioning why he had gone away despite her love for him. The post was accompanied by several photographs and videos of the couple together.
At the time it was published, many viewed the message as a heartfelt tribute from a grieving fiancée. However, after the murder allegations surfaced, the same post has drawn widespread attention online, with many users revisiting it in light of the ongoing investigation.
Police allege that Siya and Chetan conspired to kill Ketan during a trek to Lohagad Fort. Investigators claim the duo pushed him into a gorge approximately 350 feet deep, leading to his death.
The probe has also uncovered what police suspect was an earlier attempt on Ketan’s life. According to investigators, on June 14, the accused allegedly took Ketan to the same fort and tried to push him into a valley after creating panic by claiming to have spotted a snake. That attempt is believed to have failed.
The investigation remains underway, and authorities are continuing to gather evidence to establish the sequence of events leading to Ketan Agarwal’s death.
