The second entry/exit to Cotton Market Metro Station will be open to citizens beginning Friday i.e. 3rd July 2026. This will significantly facilitate the commuter movement while entering or exiting Metro Station. Cotton Market is among the 9 Metro Stations on the Eastern Corridor of Nagpur Metro Rail Project.
The second entry/exit connects the Metro Station through Foot Over Bridge (FOB) or skywalk, which spans120 meters approximately. Located on Aqua Line, this is one of the major Metro Stations of Phase 1, which provides connectivity to the bustling Cotton Market – one of the biggest vegetable markets of the city.

The newly constructed entry/exit and skywalk facility has been constructed to improve passenger convenience, accessibility, and safe pedestrian movement across the busy Cotton Market square. The facility includes a staircase, two passenger lifts, and a 120-meter-long FOB connecting the Entry-Exit with Station.
This infrastructure is expected to significantly reduce pedestrian congestion and provide seamless access to Metro Station for commuters visiting nearby commercial and public landmarks such as Mahatma Phule Market, Electronic Market, Shani Mandir, Ganesh Tekdi Mandir, Agyaram Devi Chowk, Raman Science Centre etc.
