NSSO Conduct Four Days Training Camp on NSS-77th Round

The inauguration of the Regional Training Conference of National Sample Survey Office (Field Operation Division) for 77th Round of Socio Economic Survey was held at “Training Hall, Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organisation, C Block 1st Floor CGO Complex Seminary Hills, Nagpur. The subject of this Survey “Land and Livestock Holdings of Households and Situation Assessment of Agricultural Households and Debt and Investment”. The Purpose of this training programme is to give practical training to the statistical officers.

Shri Srinivas Uppala, Director welcomed all the dignitaries and participants on this occasion. In his welcome address, he discussed the importance of Survey and elaborated the results of earlier Survey on this subject. The 77th Rd Socio-Economic Survey will be conducted from January 2019 to December 2019, So the data of this survey will be very much useful for effective planning and for the improvement of the financial condition of the farmers. He requested the media persons to bring on awareness among the people about the surveys undertaken by NSSO. So that correct and reliable data can be collected.

Shri Anil D. Patil, DDG, NSSO(DPD), Nagpur requested all the officers to take maximum advantage of this training. He told the participants that this survey is important for the improvement of the true economic and social conditions of the farmers.

Shri K.V. Firke, Joint Director, DES, Nagpur requested all the trainees to learn the subject thoroughly. He was of the opinion that our qualities will help in collecting good data. Smt. Nisha Patil. Deputy Director, DES, Nagpur in her address told that the subject is emotionally attached with Vidarbha Region, so we should be very sensitive in collecting the data.

The dignitaries present at the inauguration were Shri Prakash S. Dayare Joint Directors, Directorate of Economics and Statistics Govt. of Maharashtra, Shri Shiva Rama Raju, Joint Director, NSSO (FOD), Zonal Office, Nagpur, Shri Vishnu Raj G, Deputy Director, Zonal Office, Nagpur and Miss Ishita Das, Assistant Director, SDRD, Kolkata.  Shri Srinivas Uppala, Director & Regional Head, NSSO (FOD), Nagpur is the organiser of the programme.  Shri D.S. Thapa, SSO is acted as the Master of the ceremony. The Programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Shri Deepak Meshram, SSO, NSSO(FOD), RO, Nagpur.
