CM Chashak Finals on Dec 30
The finals  of CM Chashak tournament in various sports disciplines will be organised on December 30 at RTM Nagpur University ground.
The events that will be organised include volleyball, kho-kho, wrestling, carrom. The competition will be staged among the winning individuals and teams who emerged victorious during the local events held at the 12 constituencies of Nagpur district in the  last month.
 Mayor Nanda Jichkar will inaugurate the event at 8 a.m. and guardian minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule will grace the prize distribution function at 6 p.m. on the same day.
The winner of the kno-kho tournament in both men and women categories will walk away with  Rs 25,000 whereas the runners-up teams will be richer by Rs 11,000.
The wrestling event for the boys and girls will be played in 10 weight categories including below 48 kg, 48-55 kg, 56-64 kg below 58 kg, 58-65 kg , 65-74 kg above 74 kg, 75-86 kg and above 86 kg. The podium finishers in all the age categories will be rewarded with handsome cash prizes with the champion wrestler winning Rs 7,000 and silver medalist will get Rs 5,000 and third place holder will walk away with Rs 3,000. The fourth place holder will get Rs 2,000.
In both 100 m and 400 m athletics event the winner in both boys and girls category will get Rs 5,000 each ad Rs 3,000 for runners-up. The second runners-up will be given Rs 2,000 each. Similarly the cash awards will be distributed in volleyball. The winner of these tournaments will qualify for the state tournament to be held at Mumbai on January 20.
