The Khasdar Krida Mahotsav began with much fanfare when master blaster Sachin Tendulkar lit the sport torches in presence of Union minister for road and surface transport Nitin Gadkari and chief minister Devendra Fadnavis and other dignitaries at Yeshwant Stadium, in the city on Saturday evening.
The torch was brought by renowned players, who brought laurels to the city and handed over to the God of Cricket. Sachin then lit the official torch to mark the second edition of the event at the jam-packed venue.
