PKM, CPS, SNG boys enter quartersfinals

Pawanbhoomi Krida Mandal (PKM) along with Centre Point School (CPS) and Shivaji Nagar Gymkhana (SNG) ‘A’ boy stormed into the quarterfinals in the Khasdar Krida Mahotsav Basketball U-16 Tournament at the NBYS courts, Bajaj Nagar, here on Monday.

The other boys teams who qualified for the pre-quartetfinals include Dharampeth Krida Mandal (DKM), Gurudeonagar Krida Mandal (GKM) and United Basketball Academy (UBA).

In the girls category, Hanumannagar Krida Mandal (HKM), Vision, SNG and DKSA recorded comfortable wins over their respective rivals to move ahead.

Boys: GKM (Jayesh Giri 27, Ashish Gahurkar 18) bt PNPS (Harsh Gandhi 10) 49-27 (14-4, 9-11, 14-4, 12-8); SNG B (Krishi Pacheriwala 12, Arjun Mahule 10) bt NKPS (Imran Sheikh 8) 39-16 (13-6, 8-2, 4-2, 14-6); DKM (Shreyas 13, Raj Dwivedi 4) bt ESKM (Yash Singh 6) 30-21 (7-4, 8-8, 2-4, 4-5); extra-time (9-0); CPS (Manan Singh 15, Ishan Sangtani 13) bt GKM (Jayesh Giri 9) 43-25 (15-6, 12-9, 8-6, 8-4).

Girls: DKSA (Amisha Matharu 8, Prerna Pande 5) bt PBG (Kanak Choudhary 6) 15-11 (6-0, 2-1, 2-5, 5-5); SNG (Swati Wankhede 10, Sharvari Nene 4) bt ESKM (Keya Baharpi 2) 24-2 (6-2, 13-0, 0-0, 5-0); Vision (Krupaee Sharma 20, Saee Deshmukh 14) bt UBA (Madhura Vairagade 2) 52-4 (16-2, 14-2, 6-0, 16-0); HKM (Swastika Dutta 16, Samriddhi 6) bt PBG (Aboli Ingole 3) 24-3 (6-2, 4-1, 10-0, 4-0).
