AAP demands arrest of Hindu Mahasabha activists

Aam Admi Party (AAP), flayed the insult to Mahatma Gandhi by activists of Hindu Mahasabha in Aligarh and demanded their arrest.

On January 30 – the death anniversary of the Father of the Nation – the Hindu Mahasabha activists reportedly re-enacted the scene of assassination of Mahatma Gandhi inviting widespread criticism from various corners of the country.

Condemning, the incident, the AAP activists staged dharna before the statue of Mahatma Gandhi and demanded arrest of the Hindu Mahasabha activists, besides registering offences against them.  The AAP activists also lodged a complaint with Sitabuldi police station.

AAP activists who participated in the agitation included Ashok Mishra, Dr Devendra Wankhede, Ambrish Sawarkar, Jagjit Singh, Kavita Singal, Subhadra Yadav, Geeta Kuikar, Nilesh Goyal, Shankar Ingole, Satvinder Singh, Devendra Parihar, Laxmikant Dhandekar, M Z Qazi, Dr Sanjay Jivtode, Sunanda Khairkar, Shalini Arora, Sonu Fating, Kiran Vellor, Manish Giratkar, Vinod Alamdohkar, Durgesh Khare, Kishore Chimurkar, Ashok Patl, Suresh Kharche, Ajay Dharme, Hemant Bansod, Afsar Sheikh, Tejinder Mehta, Rakesh Gajbhiye and others.
