Marathi film actor Santosh Juvekar visits NMC

Santosh Juvekar, who made a place for himself with films like Zenda, Fakta Ladh Mhana and Morya, on Friday, visited the transport department of Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) in Civil Lines.

Transport Committee Chairman Jitendra (Bunty) Kukde welcomed him with shawl shreefal and memento. Education Committee Chairman Prof Dilip Diwe and Nehru Nagar Zone Chairperson Rita Muley were prominently present on the occasion.

Juvekar was all praise for the environment-friendly Aapli Bus started with the efforts of Union Minister Nitin Gadkari. Juvekar appealed to the people to use public transport. Juvekar was in the city to attend the All India Marathi Natya Sammelan. Along with Marathi films, he has acted in Hindi films too. Speaking about his future projects, Juvekar informed he is working with Manoj Vajpayee in two Hindi films where he has important roles.

He also sought information of the various schemes run by NMC and appreciated them. He further answered the questions asked by the NMC staff present on the occasion. Yogesh Lunge conducted the programme while PRO Ashok Kolhatkar proposed a vote of thanks.

Administrative Officer Ravindra Paage, Labour Officer Arun Pipurde, Prabhav Bokare, Sunil Shukla, B R Sontakke, Ramrao Matkar, Vinay Bharadwaj, Girish Mahajan and officials and employees of NMC transport department were present on the occasion.
