Summer exam begins, students wait for winter revaluation results 

The Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU) has begun conducting the summer exam section on one hand but the on the other it has not yet declared the results of revaluation of the winter examinations. As a result, thousands of students from different faculties are left in lurch.

Everyday hundreds of student visit the exam building of the university to enquire about their revaluation result but the varsity officials fail to give them satisfactory replies. According to the students, some university official asked them to forget about revaluation results and start preparing for the summer examination.

Some of the girl students of Shivaji Science College and Institute Of Science said currently they are studying in BSc 6th semester. They had appeared for 5th semester winter exam 2018 and the university had declared the result in January 2019. Not satisfied with the result, they applied for revaluation.

As per the rule, the university should declare the revaluation results before summer examination. However, till today it has not done so. A student of Mohta Science College said his summer exam will start next week but he is still waiting for the revaluation result.

This is not the case only with science faculty, students from humanities and management stream are also facing the same problem.

When contacted, a RTMNU official claimed that till date the university has declared a number of results as fast as it could. Very few are left and all efforts are being made to declare those results at the earliest, he said.

According to sources in RTMNU exam section, the university received 23,801 revaluation applications of which results of 14,028 students were declared till last week. The remaining results are pending due to insufficient number of teachers to re-check the papers, the source said.
