Power distribution company Mahavitran has detected electricity theft from Kanhan and nearby rural areas.
The continuous interruption in power supply from last few days were reported to the Mahavitran office. The issue came into light after power supply of people residing in Kanhan and Pimpri were completely cut off.
Following the complaint of power theft, the Mahavitran Company has started inspection in the area.
There have been three such incidents in Kanhan area within a month which recorded a loss of 4 lakh rupees.
