Rishikesh claims hat-trick as Wardha win

Rishikesh Virkhede claimed a hat-trick as brotherhood Wardha defeated Sahas Cricket Club by three wickets in Sharad Bhake Memorial Under-13 Cricket Tournament on Monday.

Batting first, Sahas scored 123 all out in 21.2 overs. Thanks to Rishikesh Virkhede who claimed five wickets including a hat-trick. In reply, Brotherhood achieved the target sparing three wickets in 25.2 overs.

In another match, Sanskar Gaur’s all-round performance helped Mujumdar Cricket Club to beat Central Railway by 64 runs.

Batting first after winning the toss MCC scored 211 for two in 30 overs. Thanks to Sanskar Gaur who scored 82-ball 91 hitting 13 boundaries. He was well supported by Shiv Sathavane who remained unbeaten on 50. For Central Railway Sparsh Borkar and Krishna Tiwari claimed one wicket each.

In reply, Central Railway were all out for 147 in 29 overs. Krishna Tiwari (45) tried his best but in vian. Aryan Kalambe scored 23. for MCC, batting hero Gour bowled well and captured four wickets conceding 16 runs.

At Nelco Society ground Joshi XI defeated Sapphire by 18 runs. Batting first Joshi XI scored 189 for 6 in 30 overs. Atharva Channe played an unbeaten knock of 56 while Adi Bajaj scored 51. For Sapphire Manav Mishra took three wickets for 58 runs.

In reply Sapphire was all out for 162 in 25.3 overs. Efforts of Taha Topiwala (48) and Nisarg Thakre (40) went in vain.

At Citi Gymkhana ground, Citi Gymkhana defeated PHCA by 68 runs. PHCA won the toss and elected to field. City Gymkhana led the charge by Ksharay Nasre (95, 88b, 14×4) scored 202 for 4 in 30 overs. Harshil Deshkukh (37) and Jay Pathak (28) ably supported him. For PHCA, Pratyush Deshmukh took two wickets for 31 runs. In reply PHCA lost their wickets at regular interval and were restricted to 136 for nine in 30 overs. Vyankatesh Dandekar (38), Shivam Joshi (34) and Vedant Mahajan (31 not out) were main scorers. For Citi Gymkhana, Shree Gulhane (4-16) was the most successful bowlers. Shree Gulhane (2 for 14) too bowled well.

At SBCA ground, Rising Star defeated Maruti Cricket Academy by 35 runs. Batting first Rising Star scored 146 for 7 in 30 overs. Avinash Karosia (38) was the main scorer. Jatin Warkhande scored 20 whereas Noor Ali and Arnav Michael contributed 12 each.

For Maruti, Arnav Deshmukh (3 fro 15) and Neev Basantwani (2 for 40) were main bowlers.In reply, Maruti Academy were bundled out for 111 in 26.4 overs. Thanks to Noor Ali who troubled the opponents and claimed four wickets conceding 15 runs. Arnav Michael and Vijay Janbandhu too bowled well and got two each. For Maruti only Arnav Deshmukh (25) showed some resistance.

For Joshi XI, Raj Khorgade and Swarnim Vaidya captured two wickets each.
