Citi Gymkhana, DACSA storm into final

Citi Gymkhana and  Dr Ambedkar College Sports Academy (DACSA)  entered the final in Sharad Bhake Memorial Under-12 Cricket Tournament on Friday.

Citi Gymkhanna defeated Ruby Sporting Club by three wickets. Batting first Ruby scored 139 for 9 in 30 overs. Malhar Doshi (42, 55 b, 4×4),  Sarvesh Ikhankar (19, 34 b, 3×4) and Tanish Bhalla  (18) were other scorers.

For Citi Gymkhana, Krish Bhati (4 for 15) was the main wicket taker. He was well supported by Jay Pathak (2 for 28).

In reply, Citi Gymkhana achieved the target sparing three wickets in 29.3 overs.

Thanks to Kharay Nasare who played match winning unbeaten knock of  51 hitting six boundaries. Prashit Nimbalkar (22) and Pranav Wadaskar (20) were other scorers.

For Ruby, Malhar Doshi and Adtya Bhargav got two wickets each.

, DACSA pipped Reshimbagh Gymkhana by seven runs. Batting first DACSA scored 177 for 5 in 30 overs.

Sultan Chimthanwala played an unbeaten knock of 52 in 41 balls hitting six boundaries. He was well supported by Iknoor Singh (38) and Riyansh Gupta (28). For Reshimbagh, Atharva Mane claimed two wickets for 14 runs. Jitesh Basena and Lokesh Dhopte were chipped in with one each.

In reply, Reshimbagh Gymkhana were all out for 170 in 28.4 overs. Lokesh Dhopte’s unbeaten knock of 43 went in vain. Shridhhar Sharma (31) and Ranbir Munghate (27) also tried their best. For DACSA, Anvay Lade (3 for 29) was the most successful bowlers. Iknoor Singh who was later adjudged as man-of-the-mathc got two for 17.

The final between DACSA and Citi Gymkhana will be played on Saturday.
