Cement roads one of the reasons for water scarcity

Cement roads one of the reasons for water scarcity

Monsoon is about to hit the city and there are heavy possibilities that this year most of the rain water which could be used as an escape from the scarcity of water that’s being faced by the Vidarbha district, will directly get mixed with sewage water. The city has also a high probability of facing sewage problems such as over flowing of drain water and many more.

All of the problems start right from the construction of cement roads, as there will be no ground water to absorb the rain water.

“The day is not too far when there will be no water in the city even for drinking. To prevent this the citizens should start saving water right from today”, said Pankaj Roshan a real estate dealer.

“People should start saving water from their house, like installing rain water harvesting system and can try to control the wastage of water. I personally provide my clients with half a glass of water and a water bottle, as usually a person only empties half from his glass and the remaining water is thrown away, I instead use that same water for my plants”, added Roshan.

Roshan further suggests that awareness programs or facilities to put people into practice of saving water is very much necessary to store water for our future generations.
