RSS chief lashes at Bengal govt over post poll violence

The RSS on Sunday came down heavily on West Bengal government over post-election violence in the state saying this clearly show the people indulging in violence have not accepted defeat in true spirit.

Addressing the valedictory function of annual third-year camp, RSS chief Dr. Mohan Bhagwat without uttering the name of Chief Minister of West Bengal said either the perpetrators of crime are criminals or belong to a particular political party there. It is not worth to blame the outside forces responsible for arson and killings of political activists.

It seems the law and order system has collapsed and the Government and Administration have completely failed. One can understand that a particular political party failed to get desired results but their failure to control law and order situation is their fundamental responsibility, Dr. Bhagwat added.

He said during the election campaign that lasted for over a month, much mudslinging was done but the laid down practice is to forget and resume the national duty of national development and development of entire subjects. We have to build a strong India and to fight for a place to occupy in the world.

Referring to poll results, Dr. Bhagwat said those elected in the election recently, their responsibility has increased manifold to fulfill promises made to the electorate. They should not live in paradise but live up to the expectations of people in the country.
